In Daniela’s work, three dimensional sculptures of human beings and objects appear figuratively and realistically. Woman and men are portrayed in various positions, at times representing tradition and culture, yet expressing a social reality. Tradition surrealism, joy and sadness, as well whimsy are depicted in her broad repertoire of figures.
Her knowledge of the human anatomy as well as the essence of the spaces that surround expressive movement, are captured in the stance and energy of her balanced and harmonious sculptures. Sculpting in clay, Daniela’s creations are then cast in a variety of materials such as bronze, stone, aluminum, polyurethane or plaster.
Daniela’s sculptures are displayed and sold world wide. In Israel, her sculptures were shown in exhibitions at the Gallery Amalia Arbel, the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv, and the Chagall Artists House in Haifa. Solo exhibitions were presented at the Bible Museum, Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Gerard Bechar Theater Center. Art shows in Vienna and Slovenia have featured her works and Daniela’s creations were featured in the magazine, “Studio”, published in Israel.
A graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem, Daniela lived and studied abroad at the school of Interior Design, New York City, and at art institutions in California. A native of Jerusalem, Israel, Daniela grew up in Haifa, and she currently lives and sculpts in Tel-aviv.
